Established in 1994 by South African natives Lester and Linda Schwartz, Fort Ross Vineyard was a pioneering project on the steep, rugged ridges of the extreme West Sonoma Coast. The bouquet is complex and evolving, opening with a foundation of red and dark berry aromas, such as black raspberry and boysenberry, followed by delicate rose petal, clove, and savory hints of sage. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and generous, showcasing exuberant flavours of black cherry, juicy plum, and bramble berries supported by soft, velvety tannins.
