Chateau Haut Brion is located in France, within the Pessac Leognan subregion of the broader Bordeaux region. Founded in 1525, it is the only First Growth estate situated outside the Médoc and has been owned by the American Dillon family since 1935. The winery’s philosophy focuses on sustainable agriculture and the production of powerful, smoky red wines known for their incredible longevity and silky tannins.

Wine Description

Chateau Haut Brion displays a deep garnet purple colour and opens with a complex melody of tilled earth, licorice, crushed rocks, and preserved plums. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine reveals tightly wound layers of black fruit, crème de cassis, and wild blueberries, framed by seamless freshness and a solid, plush texture. The finish is exceptionally long, underscored by mineral sparks and exotic spices.
