As a core member of the Rebel (formerly Rebel Yell) family, it utilizes the brand's original wheated recipe that dates back to 1849, which replaces the traditional spicy rye grain with soft wheat for a smoother profile. The brand was renamed from "Rebel Yell" to "Rebel" in 2020 and is currently owned by MGP Ingredients.

Spirit Description

Rebel 100 is crafted from a mash bill of corn, wheat, and malted barley, aged in new charred American oak barrels. It is the same recipe as the distillery's standard 80-proof expression but bottled at a higher intensity to provide a fuller flavour.

• Colour: Deep amber with a rich hue.

• Aroma: Inviting and sweet, featuring bold scents of honey, vanilla, and caramel, balanced by oaky tones and hints of stone fruits like raisins or plums.

• Palate: The high proof delivers a "hot" sensation on the tongue with robust flavours of toffee, buttered corn, and black pepper. It maintains a silky mouthfeel with notes of gingerbread and chocolate-chip cookies.

• Body: Bold and full-bodied with a smooth but intense texture.

• Finish: A long, dry, and warming finish that fades into a combination of cinnamon gum, vanilla pod, and white chocolate.
