Viña Arboleda Pinot Noir 2024

Introduction

Viña Arboleda Pinot Noir originates from the Aconcagua Costa subregion within the Aconcagua Valley of Chile. The winery was founded in 1999 by Eduardo Chadwick, a fifth generation vintner and owner of the iconic Seña estate. The name 'Arboleda' (grove of trees) pays tribute to the 1,450 hectares of native forest surrounding the sustainably managed vineyards. The estate's philosophy focuses on crafting single vineyard wines that reveal the purest expression of the unique cool climate terroir through minimal intervention.

Wine Description

This wine exhibits a bright ruby red colour with violet hues and a complex sensory profile. The bouquet offers intense aromas of rosehip, black cherry, and strawberries, accented by spicy touches of dill, rosemary, and soft notes of cinnamon. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant with a medium body and flavours of red fruits, sweet spices, and subtle hints of damp earth or truffles. The structure is defined by fine grained, chalky tannins and a persistent acidity that leads to a long, mineral, and slightly saline finish. Composed of 100% Pinot Noir, the wine typically has an ABV of 13% to 14% and is aged for approximately 11 months in French oak barrels. While the winery is strictly committed to sustainability, this specific label is not certified organic. The optimal drinking window extends for more than 6 years from the vintage date.
