Moet & Chandon Brut Rose Milestones
Introduction
Moët & Chandon Brut Rosé Impérial is a spontaneous and radiant champagne from the Épernay subregion of Champagne, France. Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët, the house is one of the world's most iconic champagne producers and is currently part of the LVMH luxury group. The winemaking philosophy for the Rosé Impérial focuses on a seductive palatal experience that reflects the diversity and complementarity of the three main champagne grape varieties, ensuring a consistent style across every 'milestone' celebration.
Wine Description
This champagne displays a glowing pink colour with dominant amber highlights and a fine, persistent bead. The sensory profile is lively and intense, featuring a bouquet of red fruits such as wild strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, accented by floral nuances of rose and a slight hint of pepper. On the palate, it is medium bodied and supple, offering a juicy intensity of berries followed by the fleshiness of peach and a subtle note of menthol. The structure is defined by a balance of roundness and firmness, leading to a fresh and lingering finish. Composed of 40% to 50% Pinot Noir (of which 10% is red wine), 30% to 40% Pinot Meunier, and 10% to 20% Chardonnay, the blend incorporates 20% to 30% specially selected reserve wines to maintain its signature complexity. It has an ABV of 12% and is not certified organic.
