Marques de Caceres was launched in Rioja in 1970 by Enrique Forner, who came from a family involved in the wine business. His daughter, Cristina Forner, now manages the business, which opened a separate winery in Rueda in 2014. Made from 100 percent Verdejo from its vineyards in Serrada and Le Seca, the wine offers baked lemon, flint, popcorn, almond and apricot flavours. It's light-bodied and slightly off-dry, with moderate acidity and has a refreshing finish.
