Langmeil Jackaman's Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Langmeil Winery, situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley, is a family-owned estate known for preserving some of the oldest vines in the world and for its dedication to traditional winemaking methods. The vineyard's Jackaman's block was planted in the 1960s and named after Arthur Jackaman, a charismatic local butcher, boxer, and WWII paratrooper. His commitment to the land is carried on by Langmeil, which nurtures this historic plot with the same care and attention to detail that Jackaman once did.

Wine Description
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep crimson colour with purple hues. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, and liquorice, enriched by nuances of French oak, black olive, and a touch of cedar. On the palate, the wine delivers juicy blue and black fruits layered with briary spice and savoury undertones. It is medium to full-bodied, with silky tannins and a subtle sweetness from 25 months of ageing in French oak hogsheads—48% new and 52% seasoned. The finish is long and velvety, marked by youthful energy and refined complexity. This wine is vegan friendly and crafted with a focus on expressing site and varietal character. Optimal drinking is suggested from now through 2032.

Food Pairing
Ideal companions include chargrilled rib-eye, roast duck, and venison. These bold, savoury dishes complement the wine’s structure and rich fruit profile.
A perfect match to enhance the wine's complexity.
