This traditional herbal liqueur dates back to the mid 1800s. The spirit is anything but bitter with dried raisin, dates and figs as its base and spicy cinnamon, nutmeg spice, cracked pepper finish. Although a digestif, it would pair well with a dark chocolate and dried fruit galette.
