Established in 1967, the GlenAllachie Distillery was revitalized in 2017 when it was acquired by a team led by industry veteran and Master Distiller Billy Walker. Under Walker’s leadership, the distillery transitioned from producing spirit for blends to focusing on a premium core range, emphasizing a 'quality over quantity' philosophy that includes reduced production and exceptionally long fermentation periods of up to 160 hours.

Presented at a natural bronze or deep mahogany hue without added colouring or chill filtration, this 12 year old malt offers a rich and complex sensory profile. The nose is generous with aromas of heather honey, dark chocolate, and mocha, complemented by notes of sultanas and cinnamon. On the palate, it delivers a full, oily mouthfeel with layers of treacle, butterscotch, and orange zest, followed by warming spices like nutmeg and ginger. This unpeated whisky is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, alongside red wine barriques and virgin oak, providing a balanced and multi-dimensional finish that lingers with notes of cocoa and dried fruit.
