Fantini 23 Edizione Cinque Autoctoni Collection Limited Release
Produced in Italy, the Farnese Fantini 23 Edizione Cinque Autoctoni Limited Release is a remarkable red blend crafted from vineyards in Abruzzo and Puglia. The Fantini Group, established in 1994 by Valentino Sciotti, has a philosophy of producing high-quality wines that showcase the vast heritage of Italy's indigenous vines. The winery's history is tied to the Farnese name, dating back to the late 1500s when Princess Margherita of Austria began producing quality wines on these lands.
Wine Description
This limited release presents a very deep garnet red colour with beautiful violet reflections. The nose is intense and persistent, featuring complex aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, and blackberry, alongside notes of dried herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa, and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and opulent with rich flavours of berries and dark chocolate, balanced by a lifted, elegant freshness and velvety tannins. The varietal composition is a traditional blend of 33% Montepulciano, 30% Primitivo, 25% Sangiovese, 7% Negroamaro, and 5% Malvasia Nera. While ready to drink now, it has a long finish and an aging potential that allows it to develop for several years.
