Beringer Chardonnay Founders' Estate 2023
Beringer Founders' Estate Chardonnay originates from the diverse vineyards of California. The fruit is sourced from a combination of cool coastal sites in the Central and North Coasts and warmer interior vineyards in the California Delta. Established in 1876 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer, Beringer Vineyards is one of the oldest continually operating wineries in Napa Valley.
Wine Description
This Chardonnay presents a bright gold colour in the glass. The aromatics are inviting, featuring ripe pear, apple, and tropical fruit notes accented by hints of spicy, toasty vanilla and toasted almond. On the palate, the wine is medium to full bodied with a lush, rounded mouthfeel and forward flavours of apple, citrus, and ripe fig. The structure is well balanced, offering a creamy texture from four months of aging on seasoned French oak, leading into a long finish with lingering notes of vanilla and smoke.
