Barons de Rothschild Brut - 6 Litre Bottle
This refined and complex non-vintage sparkling wine originates from the Champagne region of France. The Maison de Champagne Barons de Rothschild was established in 2005, representing a historic and unprecedented alliance between the three branches of the Rothschild family: Baron Philippe Sereys de Rothschild (Château Mouton Rothschild), Baron Eric de Rothschild (Château Lafite Rothschild), and Baroness Ariane de Rothschild (Edmond de Rothschild Group). The house's philosophy is rooted in five pillars; Chardonnay, Grands and Premiers Crus, reserve wines, purity of dosage, and time aiming to create a 'Grand Vin de Champagne' that reflects the family's shared values of 'Unity, Integrity, and Industry'.
Wine Description
The Barons de Rothschild Brut presents a brilliant, pale golden colour with fine bubbles and a persistent mousse. The sensory profile is exceptionally fine, featuring an aromatic nose of pear, nuts (almonds and fresh hazelnuts), white flowers, and delicate toasty notes. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet contained, opening with an assertive energy that gives way to a well-rounded and harmonious structure. It is characterized by its elegance and precision, showcasing flavours of ripe orchard fruits, lemon zest, and subtle hints of brioche. This cuvée is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, with an ABV of 12%. The wine is produced using sustainable viticulture and features a low dosage of approximately 6 g/L, followed by at least four years of bottle aging and six months of rest after disgorgement.
